...for those who have been curious.
(**Don't scroll down if you aren't comfortable looking at hurt little fingers.)
Tomorrow will be two weeks since Evelyn's accident.
I've had a lot of people ask me about it.
How does it look?
What exactly happened?
Where on the fingers did she get the friction burns?
And the most asked question: Are her fingers deformed?
No. Her fingers are not deformed.
They're actually looking pretty amazing.
I took pictures today at hydrotherapy with Ron because I was amazed at the healing so far.
Porter hasn't even seen it yet because it always has to be bandaged.
I've had many ask what it looks like.
So
for
those
who would like to see it....
Here it is, right after her 20 minute whirlpool soak, and right before Ron worked on it:
We're getting there!

Oh, my goodness, Natalie. How painful for you to see. This was hard to look at, but I'm so glad that they are healing. And, so glad that they are not deformed. You are a woman of great faith and goodness.
That is so sad! Lets hope that she is young enough that she will forget most of this! If only you could too. I would imagine this is really hard as a mother to experience and to watch your daughter go through. Keep hangin' in there!!!
Well that just makes me want to cry. Keep it up Nat. Thanks for sharing, we HAVE all been wondering. And they are looking really great considering!
What a tough little girl, and mom!
Oh, sweet baby girl. Bless her heart and yours.
Poor little girl...They look like they are healing well and hopefully with all of the treatment she will not have to have surgery or skin grafts :)
That is so cute that if you give her a peanut butter M&M she will sit still. Thank heavens that kids are so resilient and forgiving.
We continue to pray that she heals quickly and for you too Natalie as you try to stay strong for her!!
Okay, I had a hard time looking at that. I can't imagine what it looked like in the beginning. Glad things are looking up! Give her a hug from me!
WOW! I can see why you have had a hard time looking, but from a nurse's point of view - it does look good. No signs of infection and healing well. You two are doing awesome - keep up the HARD work!! I will continue to pray!!
Oh! I really did want to seem them, but didn't dare ask. Poor poor poor little girl! She will have crazy fingerprints after this huh?
Sorry!
It brings tears to my eyes to see her little fingers! I have been thinking and praying for you. Thank you for sharing your experience. Tiffany Clayson
