Time Travel
I've had a terrible head cold all weekend. And because of that, I was really worried to speak in church today.
Yesterday afternoon, I even loaded up the kids and drove down to Fred Meyer to stock up on some cold medicine so that I could be all "drugged up" to give my talk without sniffling, coughing, wiping, etc.
As we were standing in the medicine aisle at Freddy's, I sneezed two times in a row really loudly.
Porter said, "Wow, Mom. You just went back in time 40 minutes!"
I looked at him, confused for a minute, and then started laughing when I remembered the book he was reading. In this book, there is a character that has a super power, that whenever she sneezes, she goes back in time 2o minutes.
Well, this morning, Porter woke up sick. I told him that I would hurry home as soon as Sacrament meeting was over so that I could take care of him.
Just as I was walking out of the room, he said, "Mom, I really hope you don't sneeze during your talk today. That way they will only have to listen to you give it once!"
:)

So fun! Don't you just adore this age??? Hope your talk went well.
I love Porter and how he thinks! Was that the talk you had to give at your home ward? How did it go? You have to speak a lot! I bet you are being prepared for something....Like General Relief society:) BTW, I LOVE my kitchen aid, I bet I have used it at least once a day since I got it, thanks again Nat, love ya!
Love that kid, love you... Your big brother spoke in our S. Mtg. yesterday too... how did your talk go?
He is too cute! I hope both of you are feeling better.
Natalie, what a smart, clever boy you have! That was just such a fun comment Porter made. And, I echo what the others have said, hope you are both feeling better.
