The insight of little spirits

I have been spending some of my spare time working on typing up my mother-in-law Deloris's life history from her journal. I recently came across this entry that I would like to share. It made me so very happy.

My darling little grandson Porter has been concerned about me. He is three and a half. Natalie reports that he is always asking to go to Rexburg. He needed to go see if I was alright because I was alone and didn't have a Grandpa or a Bracken with me like his other Grandma did. I assured him that Andy was with me for a time, so he helped keep me company. He seemed to feel better about the situation.

Natalie called me a few days ago saying on family night they were trying to explain about the resurrection (it was Easter). Porter asked, "When will Grandpa be resurrected? I think we are best friends." I think that is true. The insight of little spirits.

I think it will be a very sweet reunion.

What a neat thing to read about this in her journal.... I can't believe Porter was only 3 1/2. I think children know so much more than we think.

Natalie, about two days ago, I was thinking of Deloris and a feeling of sorrow overwhelmed me; not for HER, but for those left behind. Deloris was such an amazing person. Then, to read this beautiful entry about your son was so inspiring and reaffirming about the beauty of the Gospel plan. You are raising a remarkable and spiritual young man; he takes after both you and Bill. Thank you for sharing this glimpse into the Stanton family.
