I've had a terrible head cold all weekend. And because of that, I was really worried to speak in church today.
Yesterday afternoon, I even loaded up the kids and drove down to Fred Meyer to stock up on some cold medicine so that I could be all "drugged up" to give my talk without sniffling, coughing, wiping, etc.
As we were standing in the medicine aisle at Freddy's, I sneezed two times in a row really loudly.
Porter said, "Wow, Mom. You just went back in time 40 minutes!"
I looked at him, confused for a minute, and then started laughing when I remembered the book he was reading. In this book, there is a character that has a super power, that whenever she sneezes, she goes back in time 2o minutes.
Well, this morning, Porter woke up sick. I told him that I would hurry home as soon as Sacrament meeting was over so that I could take care of him.
Just as I was walking out of the room, he said, "Mom, I really hope you don't sneeze during your talk today. That way they will only have to listen to you give it once!"
