...at least for now, anyway.

We are in a serious demolition-mess at the house right now.... moving furniture, ripping up carpet, laminate flooring, carpet pad, pulling out staples, nailing, and most importantly, making sure our toddler doesn't step on any rusty nails or tack-strips.

And first thing Wednesday morning, we are going on a family vacation. ((can't wait))

Acacia wood floors are being installed sometime next week in our high traffic areas and the kitchen, plus a dining room entry arch to be built once the floors are in....then hopefully paint on the walls, crown moulding, and refinishing the kitchen cupboards...we'll see-- taking it one project at a time.

Eating one of these hot, out of the oven, slathered in butter is an 'out of body' experience. And it's not just my opinion. Over 4,000 people agree with me. I buy over-ripe bananas at the store just so I can make these babies. (I even substitute fresh ground whole wheat flour with great results!)

An obsession

The latest BBC miniseries.

Once a week, I put my kids to bed, grab my man and head downstairs to be transported to rural Victorian England, for 1 hour of cinematic bliss.

Lark Rise to Candleford encompasses all that I love about the BBC...the ability to portray a story with realism and yet still remain magical. And they do it while using "normal" looking people-not your stereotypical Hollywood type.

Where I live, it is on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. But, on Thursdays at 10 p.m. they broadcast it in High-Def.

So why am I letting you know when this week will already be the 13th episode? Because they are wonderful, that's why! Yes, there has already been a lot of character development, but they are very episodial, meaning that each one has it's own story line.
